We collect & utilise different information depending on which of the various ways you interact with us. This policy will confirm the data we collect and for what purpose.

Orders - When placing an order with Dear Emma, an essential part of the proofing process is the collection of the necessary personalised details required to process and create designs. This information is requested and disclosed through various communication channels such as phone, email, text, WhatsApp, Messenger, etc. and is used solely for this purpose. If you contact us through any of these methods, we may keep records of that correspondence.

Contact Forms - We use contact forms to collect personal information from you so that we can potentially provide the products & services you have requested from us. This information is needed to identify you and typically includes your name, email address and telephone number although more information may also be required. 

Delivery Info - Your chosen delivery address will be provided to our Courier Partners to enable delivery of your consignment. We may also provide said Couriers with your contact information (typically phone or email) for the sole purpose of keeping you updated as to the progress of your delivery.

Website & Browser Data - When someone visits our website and Social Media sites, we collect standard internet log information, such as cookies and details of visitor behaviour patterns using a third party service, Google Analytics. This allows us to track the number of visitors to our various media channels which can help us improve our website and online services. This information does not identify anyone, nor can the gathered IP addresses be linked directly to your personal information.

Third Party Data - We might receive your personal information from third parties such as Wedding Fayre operators and Wedding Listing sites. In this scenario, we will ensure your consent was obtained to share this information with us.

We are committed to protecting your personal data. To do so, we have implemented appropriate security protocols in order to secure and prevent unauthorised access. Any files containing personal data are stored securely in digital format on password-protected, external back-up devices and are used to create and complete customer orders or for marketing purposes only.

Unfortunately, the transfer of information to us via the internet does come with inherent risks, and therefore we cannot guarantee it’s 100% security, therefore you choose to do so at your own risk. 

How long do we keep/use your Data?

We will only hold on to your personal data for as long as is necessary to complete the intended purposes we collected it for. This can include satisfying any legal, accounting, marketing or reporting requirements. By law we must keep basic information about our customers including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data, for 6 years after they cease being customers, for tax purposes.
